Survey Development
Development of a biennial survey and analysis of the structural engineering community focused on career satisfaction, engagement and retention, compensation and work-life balance.
Communications
Promoting the SE3 initiative through social media and a quarterly e-newsletter while facilitating collaboration within the AEC industry.
Outreach
Providing guidance and support to new SE3 chapters and assistance planning presentations, programs, and events within NCSEA Member Organizations.
National Symposium
Development of a half-day program coinciding with the annual NCSEA Summit to facilitate the on-going conversation of engagement & equity in the structural engineering community.
Resource Guide
Compiling guidelines, resource materials and feedback for the development of new SE3 chapters within NCSEA Member Organizations.
Focused Studies
Conducting in-depth analyses utilizing survey data to focus on particular questions or trends within the structural engineering profession.

The SEAONC SE3 Project held its 2019 Symposium on May 10th, 2019 in San Francisco entitled A Changing Workplace: How to Engage, Retain and Secure the Future of our Profession. From the inception of the symposium, the goal of this event was to broaden the discussion of engagement and equity by inviting structural engineers from all over California and outside of the state as well to participate on aspects of changing our profession for the better.
